Abuse, Spam and Scams
iTweet is a place for authentic expression. Harassment, spam, and scams violate our Community Guidelines. Here's how to recognize them, report them, and protect yourself.
- Targeted harassment, threats, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or national origin.
- Sharing someone's private information without consent (doxxing).
- Non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual content involving minors.
- Encouraging self-harm, suicide, or violence.
- Mass following/unfollowing, or artificial engagement (buying likes, followers, comments).
- Automated posting, aggressive tagging, or repetitive hashtag stuffing.
- Deceptive links, phishing, or bait-and-switch content.
- Fake giveaways and impersonation of iTweet staff or verified accounts.
- Bulk DMs promoting the same URL, product, or service.
- Fake brand deals: "Sponsor" DMs asking you to click a login link.
- Verification scams: Anyone offering blue/gold badges outside of iTweet Subscriptions is fake.
- Copyright strike phishing: "Your account will be deleted — appeal here" links.
- Romance and investment scams: New follower quickly moves to WhatsApp/Telegram and asks for money or crypto.
- Free followers/likes tools: Almost always credential harvesters.
iTweet will never ask for your password, verification code, or payment via DM.
- Open the post, reel, comment, DM, or profile.
- Tap the ⋯ menu → Report.
- Pick the closest reason — this routes it to the right review queue.
- Add context if prompted. Screenshots aren't required; our systems capture what you reported.
Reports are anonymous. The reported account is not told who filed it.
- Block: They can't see your profile, posts, or message you.
- Mute: You stop seeing their posts/stories without them knowing.
- Restrict: Their comments are hidden from others until you approve; DMs move to Requests.
- Use Hidden Words to auto-filter slurs and phrases from comments and DMs.
Automated systems and human reviewers assess reports against Community Guidelines. Depending on severity we may remove content, restrict features, suspend the account temporarily, or permanently disable it. You'll get a Support Inbox update when your report is resolved.
If a threat is credible and immediate, contact local emergency services first. iTweet cooperates with law enforcement through official legal-process channels — details are in our Transparency Center.
